First Point Skincare is a new skin rejuvenation clinic in Launceston offering its clients a personalised custom-made program of treatment based on a thorough skin analysis and no-obligation recommendations by a trained medical practitioner. It is not a beauty clinic. The treatment program is determined by Dr Phillips based on what YOUR needs are. The initial consultation involves a thorough skin questionnaire based on many external and internal factors that affect your skin. These factors include current skincare, diet, hormones, medication, smoking, lifestyle, genetics etc. After completing the questionnaire, Dr Phillips can then categorise your skin and determine what can improve your skin based on what concerns you have with your skin. It is important to have realistic expectations, however, your skin will look/feel better IF you maintain the program designed for you. It is worth remembering that 80% of your skincare needs to be maintained at home, whilst the remaining skincare can be sourced from elsewhere, whether that be a microdermabrasion, an oxygen therapy facial, or full facial laser rejuvenation. There is a fee for this initial service.
Dr Phillips is a General Practitioner in Launceston. He has a particular interest in total anti-ageing, skin rejuvenation and cosmetic medicine. This interest stems from his skill in skin cancer medicine and surgery, whereby he has had many requests from his patients for treatment of scars or depressions in the face and neck area caused by the removal of lesions of varying nature, whether they be concerning serious lesions, or benign moles.These requests, and his increasing interest lead him to have training in anti-ageing medicine, skin rejuvenation and cosmetic injectable treatments, and later in oxygen infusion therapy, microdermabrasion, Mesotherapy for the treatment of cellulite, fat deposits and hair loss for both men and women, Schlerotherapy for the treatment of spider veins, chemical peels, IPL for effective hair removal and Fractional Laser for the treatment of a wide variety of skin complaints which include broken capillaries, uneven skin tone, pigmentation issues, acne and other scar treatment, lines and wrinkles.
